55 Annual Report | 2023-2024 MCKINLEY: The idea of “gentleman of integrity” in 1967 mirrors the same kind of “gentleman of integrity” at St. Joe’s today, which is a true testament of the school’s foundation. We hope our gift helps to give even more opportunities to students over the years, especially those to whom might not otherwise be able. SJCI: What would you say to other people considering making a planned gift to St. Joe’s or another institution close to their heart? MCKINLEY: I think for anyone who has worked all their life to create or build something, leaving a gift like this is one of the most practical things you can do. If I were having this conversation with a group of my classmates, it would be around the value of continuing the education for the students at St. Joe’s, continuing the financial prosperity of the school, and seeing what those guys can go out and do in their various communities. And then keep it going. Just keep it going.
